Dr Vekris has worked with the FUE technique for more than 20 years and has operated in Greece, the UK, France, the USA and across the Middle East. His patients include well-known names from entertainment, media and business, who trust him with both their result and their privacy.
He founded Advanced Hair Clinics in Athens, and with his medical teams he has performed over 30,000 hair transplants, more than any other Greek doctor. He trained in hair restoration surgery under Dr J.C. Kim at KNU University Hospital in South Korea and furthered his training in London and San Francisco.
He is an invited speaker and trainer at the world’s leading hair restoration meetings, including ISHRS, IMCAS, the World FUE Institute and FUE Europe, and has taken part in more than 120 Greek and international conferences. Doctors and nurses from many countries train with his team in Athens every year.

What does the Vekris Signature cost?
It starts from €12,000. Your final price depends on the size and complexity of your procedure, including whether it takes one or two days, and is confirmed after your assessment. It is charged per session, with no cap on the number of grafts.
Will my treatment be kept confidential?
Yes. Your enquiry, records and visit are handled in strict medical confidence. For discretion afterwards, Dr Vekris and his teams are among the few who successfully perform Unshaven FUE, where only the donor area is trimmed and grafts are placed between your existing hairs, so most patients return to work and social life within 24 to 48 hours. Long Hair FUE, where your hair is not cut at all, is also available.
Can Dr Vekris correct a previous hair transplant?
In many cases, yes. Revision work is assessed individually: Dr Vekris examines your hairline, density and donor area and tells you honestly what can be improved, from refining an unnatural hairline to adding density or camouflaging scars. You can send photos for an initial assessment.
Do you perform eyebrow, beard and body hair transplants?
Yes. Dr Vekris and his teams perform eyebrow and beard transplants, and use body hair FUE, from areas such as the chest, when the scalp donor area is limited.
Can scars from FUT (strip) surgery be repaired?
Yes. Grafts can be placed into the linear scar left by strip surgery so that it becomes far less visible, often alongside treatment of the surrounding hair loss.
Do I need to come to Athens?
Your consultation with Dr Vekris and your procedure take place at our flagship clinic in Athens, and your post-operative review and first wash follow the next day. After that, follow-up appointments are available at our 15 clinics across Greece and Cyprus.
Can I have a consultation first?
Yes. You can start with an online consultation: send photos of your hair, speak to a doctor by video and receive a personal plan and starting price before booking anything. Your final price is confirmed after your assessment with Dr Vekris.
Will Dr Vekris really perform my hair transplant?
Yes. With the Vekris Signature, Dr Vekris meets you for your consultation and final assessment, designs your hairline and performs your procedure himself, leading every step of your journey.
Is it painful, and when can I go back to work?
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia and most patients only feel a slight pulling in the donor area for a day or two. Most patients are back at work within a few days, following their doctor’s advice.
When will I see my result?
Some transplanted hairs shed in the first weeks, which is normal. New growth starts around the third month, around 70 to 80% of the result shows by four to six months, and the full result by twelve months.
What happens after my procedure?
Your post-operative review and first wash are included. Follow-up appointments are available at our 15 clinics across Greece and Cyprus, and our team is on hand by phone, email and WhatsApp whenever you have a question.
